Tremendous community support from shoppers, growers, and volunteers made the 24th Annual Fayette Cares Plant Sale in Oakland, TN a blooming success. Caring, generous, and talented Fayette Cares volunteers organized the event, which grows year after year.
This year the first day of Spring ended with freezing temperatures. Precisely why Fayette Cares strategically schedules their annual plant sale after the typical frost-free date, making it the optimal time to purchase vegetables, herbs and flowers for our region.

But for those faced with a job loss, illness, or other unexpected financial crisis, a hard winter can mean choosing between food, rent, medicine, or utilities. Through the Warm Heart$ program Chickasaw Electric Cooperative gives its customers the power to help those who face a short term financial crisis.

In the late 1980’s a small group of supporters quickly grew into a multitude of Fayette Cares volunteers and donors with open hearts. Holiday food and toy giving were among the first caring gestures that later grew into a broad array of crisis intervention services provided by Fayette Cares.
