A message from Executive Board Vice President David Crislip

Domestic violence exists in every culture in our worldwide community. It affects all sectors of our society including rich, poor, educated and uneducated. Defeating this terrible societal ill requires awareness, resources, safe harbors, and education for the abused, the abuser and the entire family or support system.

Children born in an abusive environment are more likely to be victims or to be abusive themselves. Studies show that about one-third of people who are exposed to domestic violence will be become abusers themselves.

The support for stopping this cycle is provided in our community thru Fayette Cares.

The staff, donors, volunteers and grants provide the skills and resources to break the chain of pain by offering families and the abused support, training and safe harbor as they learn new skills that will break the cycle of unhealthy dependence on the abuser.

Please consider being part of the solution! Please consider being involved. Make a pledge of support, get involved or help with a fundraiser! You will not be disappointed!
