PRESS RELEASE: Fayette Cares Opens Tickets for Annual Gala

Mid-South-based non-profit aims to see more than 550 guests at their 10-year anniversary gala to raise funds to assist victims of domestic violence and homelessness.

Somerville, TN – August 31, 2018  – Fayette Cares will host its annual fundraiser, A Night of Southern Elegance, on November 3 at Ring Companies in Oakland. Proceeds from the event will support the organization’s cause of domestic violence and homelessness prevention and intervention.

This year’s theme is A Decade of Caring to celebrate the gala’s 10 year anniversary. Extraordinary plans are underway to make this year special and honor supporters from today and from years past.

“I couldn’t be more excited for this year’s gala,” said Alexandra Porto, Executive Director of Fayette Cares. “This year’s benefit is a culmination of the dedication from our past and current gala planning team members, event volunteers, and so many individuals and businesses that generously support the event. We plan to show our appreciation of their commitment this year. This amazing group has put in tens-of-thousands of hours over the past 10 years to create a successful event that has raised over $1 million to support Fayette Cares’ mission.”

This festive event includes a silent auction accompanied by appetizers, followed by a delicious dinner reception and live auction. The night will conclude with dancing to the Brennan Villines Band with front-man and local celebrity Brennan Villines who was featured on Fox TV’s The Four.

Some of The Mid-South’s biggest companies and generous organizations have supported the annual event including Ring Companies, Mahaffey Event and Tent Rentals, FedEx, International Paper, Memphis Contract Packaging, Fayette County Public Schools, The Knights of Columbus and more.

Every year Fayette Cares raises critical revenue through gala ticket sales, sponsorships, contributions, and the proceeds from the live and silent auction. These funds are used to further the agency’s mission.
