Domestic Violence

Are you in an unhealthy relationship?

Help a loved one trapped in the cycle of abuse

Safety from Abuse

For many home is a prison of untold violence, oppression, and pain. Fayette Cares offers options and resources to help victims become survivors and break the cycle of violence.

Services include access to emergency interventions via a 24-hour statewide hotline. Fayette Cares works to create safety with emergency shelter, safety planning, limited transportation assistance, emergency cellular phones, security systems, court accompaniment, and links to other essential resources.

Financial abuse keeps many trapped. Victims and survivors build financial independence with Purple Purse day or evening classes including FREE childcare.

At Fayette Cares victims of domestic violence and their children can find relief from the effects of trauma. FREE counseling including individual, group, and family therapies offer safe, non-judgmental, and caring support. Survivors can better understand triggers and learn healthy coping responses, build conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, and gain self-awareness and confidence to triumph over trauma.

Support groups are also offered, giving victims the opportunity to find the power of healing within themselves and among survivors.
