For 31 years the Fayette County community has come together for the holiday season to provide food and toys to neighbors in need. Last year, through tremendous community support and involvement Fayette Cares was able to provide hundreds of families with food baskets and toys for children. As families continue to struggle with food insecurity and meager finances, the call for help is great.
Low-income families are invited to apply for the Fayette Cares Christmas Caring food and toy program, with application locations throughout Fayette County in the month of October (list below). Applicants must bring proof of the following for every person living in the household: Fayette County residence, identification, rent/mortgage amount, income, Social Security numbers, and Department of Human Services food stamp verification (if applicable).
