Homeless, battling addiction, and having lost custody of her son, Jessica found herself at rock bottom. Discouraged and ashamed, she feared this dark time in her life would last forever.

Fortunately, you were there in her hour of need, supporting the work of Fayette Cares with your contributions and providing exactly what she needed to find her way out of this situation.

At the top of Jessica’s list of goals was to get her baby boy back. But this would be no small feat.

With guidance and support from expert staff at the Fayette Cares emergency shelter, she overcame what once seemed like insurmountable obstacles.

In three months she found a job, moved into permanent housing, enrolled in school, regained her driver’s license, and actively participated in an addiction recovery program.

Empowered and inspired, Jessica was able to move mountains in order to reunite with her son and provide him with a stable and healthy home.

“I want to tell everyone about the great things

Fayette Cares has done for me!”

She said farewell but not goodbye to the staff and volunteers who nurtured her on the path to stability.  Her visits to the shelter are now filled with joy as she proudly gives updates on the ways her life continues to change for the better.  “I want to tell everyone about the great things Fayette Cares has done for me!”

At Fayette Cares we help many people like Jessica turn their lives around, but we can’t do it alone.  Your support is needed to continue this important work.  In the New Year we hope that you’ll make a special pledge of on-going support; a monthly gift to help families find hope.
