We've put a new twist on the race with our first-ever VIRTUAL 5k run/walk!

What's a virtual race?   It's a race that can be run or walked any time or place you choose.   Run at your own pace and time it yourself, then report your finishing time to us by Sept. 10th to compete for awards.

Go the extra mile!  Run as far as you can by Sept. 10th to compete for the distance award. The competition begins August 6th and runs through September 10th.

Registration includes complimentary participation in COLOR blasts and winner announcements at the Fayette County Chamber Cotton Festival, Saturday, September 14th on the historic Somerville Court Square at 11:00 am and again at 2:00 pm. Wear a white shirt to show off your color!  Non-registrants can join the fun for $2 per color blast.

Enjoy the festivities with a full day of live music, a car show, inflatables, food, and much more.

Your Virtual Race in Four Easy Steps!

With individual registration only $15 each and $10 each for groups of 6+  it's easy to be part of this healthy activity while contributing to a great cause.

Rally the family, gather the neighbors, and reach out to friends everywhere to get fit and give back!

The competition begins August 6th and runs through September 10th.

Run or walk wherever, whenever, with whoever you want.  Track, trail, treadmill ... you choose.  Early morning, late evening ... make your own schedule.

If you need to break up your distance into multiple segments, that’s OK too.

Group run in the neighborhood or go solo.  Maybe a friendly challenge with buddies all over the country ... heck, the world!

Be sure to brag.  Go ahead and BLOW UP social media with your race updates.

Celebrate as a community on Saturday, September 14th, in Somerville, TN.  We'll shower you with color at the Fayette Co. Chamber Cotton Festival and announce time and distance winners.

Unique cotton themed trophies are awarded to race winners in the following categories:

The festival offers family fun including live music, inflatables, games, food, a car show (featuring street rods, antique vehicles, foreign and domestic cars and trucks), heritage demonstrations, folk art, crafts, and much more!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get a shirt?

To be sure that 100% of your registration goes directly to Fayette Cares please bring your own shirt to the color blast celebration at the Fayette Co. Chamber Cotton Festival on Sat., Sept. 14th at 11 am or 2 pm.  We suggest you wear white to show off your colors!

Where is the race site?

This year we’re holding a virtual race, so you can run anywhere, anytime, with anyone you like!

Are Walkers Allowed to Participate?
